In warmer regions (Zone 7-9) though, tulips won’t flower unless the bulbs are given that “winter chill” in advance. A pre-chilled tulip bulb is one that has already gone through this cooling process before you buy it. That means the bulb is ready to grow and bloom beautifully once you plant it.

How to Plant Your Pre-Chilled Tulips
🌱 In the Garden (Landscape Planting)
Choose a sunny spot with well-draining soil. Dig a hole or make a trench about 4 inches deep. Space bulbs about 2–4 inches apart, pointy side up. Cover with soil, water well, and wait for spring magic!
🌱 In Pots & Containers (Small Space Gardening)
Pick a pot with good drainage holes. Fill with potting mix, then nestle the bulbs close together—like eggs in a carton! They don’t mind being snug. Cover with soil, leaving about 1–2 inches from the top of the pot. Water thoroughly and place in a sunny spot.
✨ Tip: In containers, you can fit a lot of tulips into a small space and layer with Daffodils or other spring bulbs, creating a stunning, full display of color.

All orders ship via USPS. We do not offer farm or local pickup. You’ll receive an email with tracking details as soon as your package is on its way!
Ranunculus & Anemone corm orders begin shipping mid-October.
Tulip & Daffodil bulb orders begin shipping mid-December.
If your order includes both corms and bulbs, everything will ship together in mid-December.

We do not accept returns or exchanges. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. If you believe there is a problem with your order upon arrival, please email us a photograph and/or video along with a description within 24 hours of receipt.
If you trim, cut, remove or manipulate the product in any way and/or plant the product before contacting us, you will not be offered a credit. We may ask you to ship the product back to us for inspection.
Original shipping fees are not refundable. To submit a credit request, please contact us by email at Jen@Bloomtownflowerco.com and include your name, order number, and any photos you have of the damaged product.
